Pebble Beach Dressage Blues...

Blue as in down, not as in ribbons! The Pebble Beach Dressage Show is next week, over 4th of July weekend, and I'm not going. But I really wish I was! I've always wanted to show at Pebble Beach. I remember the first year I started taking dressage lessons, I went down to PB to watch my "then" trainer show her horse. I was fascinated by the white tents, the flags flapping in the wind, the beautiful cool, foggy weather, and of course the beautiful horses all around me. It was the most exciting feeling being a part of it all, and I've wanted to go back ever since.

My excuse this year is I waited too long to decide if I was going to go or not, and the few people I would trust to watch over the farm and horses all have 4th of July plans. So, I get to stay in Davis and work on the farm! I love every part of having my own farm, but it does make it much harder to leave town.

So next July, I'm going to plan early so all ends are covered and I can go to PB! Who knows, maybe I should order a tail coat and I can show Prix St. George by then? Ha! It's good to have goals right?...

Bronze Medal

I'm proud to say that Final has helped me earn my Bronze Medal from USDF. My beloved Yochi got the scores we needed at First Level, and Final helped me get the scores needed at Second and Third Levels. I'm pretty proud of my boys! They've taught me so much.

Up next, Silver Medal.
