Final and I showed Easter Sunday 3/23/08 at Denville-Kanani Farms in Danville, Ca. We had a fabulous ride! We rode Third Level test 3 and scored a 69.5% to win the class! I was so proud of my boy, he was great. This was the first time (since Yochi) that I could ride a test and enjoy it. Final wasn't tense and pulling me around the arena like he's done in the past. Don't get me wrong, there are things that we need to improve on. Our medium and extended trots were very conservative, and those are a strong point of Fin's, but things were going so well I didn't want to take any chances. Our trot half passes were decent, but he needs to be stepping thru a little more. Our flying changes were clean each way, which is such a feat for us! A year ago, we didn't have clean changes, and now we do.
My friend Susan showed as well and won both of her classes at Third Level. It was a great day for both of us! Our next show is May 8-10, 2008 in Woodside, CA.
