We're flooded!!

With all of this rain we've been having, we finally got to see what happens when you're in a flood plain! On Saturday morning, all was well, I was riding in the arena, when around noon, the water from the street ditch poured over our berm and started gushing into our pond. Within 6-8 hours, our pond was overflowing. What we've learned is that when it rains a lot in the foothills by Lake Berryessa, it takes about 12 hours for the water to reach us. It was an amazing site. What is great, is that our barns, arena, driveway and house pad were well above the water, so that was a relief. The water has gone down a lot since yesterday, but there's still plenty of water around. The pictures speak for themselves...
